Rhode Island Medical Malpractice Lawyer William Thompson Settles Cancer Diagnosis Delay Lawsuit for $1 Million

Attorney William J. Thompson of the medical malpractice law firm Lubin & Meyer PC has recovered $1 million for the family of a woman who died of urothelial cancer. The lawsuit claimed that the patient’s urologist failed to confirm or rule out urothelial carcinoma and to monitor her urinary stricture.

The case was filed in Newport County Superior Court and the case settled for $1 million, the limits of the physician’s insurance policy after the jury was empaneled.
